It is the kiln’s temperature and the air of that day that decide the form. That is why we discard 30–40% of what we make — not for mass production, but to leave behind a single, one-of-a-kind object.

This object exists for a single act.
When the flame signals the beginning, the smoke loses its form, flows inward, and is reborn. And at last, on a glass surface that conceals nothing, it reveals itself as it is.
